Dr. Mona Moshtaghi was born and raised in San Diego, graduated from the University of California San Diego and went on to the University of Houston College of Optometry. Dr. Moshtaghi has been in the Optometry field for over 10 years; COA Certified, worked in a private practice and did Glaucoma research at Shiley Eye Center in San Diego. Dr. Moshtaghi always wanted to be part of the growing field of preventative healthcare.
Dr. Moshtaghi practices full-scope optometry, including comprehensive eye examinations, dry eye treatment and co-management of LASIK and cataracts. Her passion is helping patients find the perfect pair of glasses for their everyday visual needs in order to have the best quality of life. She wants her patients to leave the office with the most positive experience. “Having the best vision possible is a wonderful feeling.” says Dr. Moshtaghi.
Outside of the office, Dr. Moshtaghi thoroughly enjoys experimenting in the kitchen, playing the dulcimer (classical Persian instrument), spending time with her family and spoiling her maltipoo, Coco. Dr. Moshtaghi also speaks English and Farsi fluently, while is conversational in Spanish.
