Connie Tan, O.D.

Dr. Tan has her doctorate in Optometric Medicine from Southern California College of Optometry.  She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA).  After receiving her doctorate in Optometry, Dr. Tan went on to complete a residency in Ocular Disease from the State University of New York (SUNY), College of Optometry, New York.  She worked at the NY Woodhull Medical Center in Brooklyn NY.  While at SUNY, Dr. Tan also served as a Clinical Assistant Instructor.

After completing her residency Dr. Tan joined a comprehensive ophthalmic medical practice in New York where she focused  on comprehensive eye examinations for cornea, glaucoma and oculoplastic medical eye disease.   Dr. Tan has an interest in specialty contact lens fittings and scleral lenses.

Dr. Tan has volunteered as an Optometrist performing vision examinations for  multiple organizations including the Special Olympics in Los Angeles and Care Harbor.

Dr. Tan is known as a very thorough Optometrist by her patients, delivering care with a friendly bedside manner.  She is a new resident of San Diego and joined Morris Eye Group in 2020. She is a self-described “foodie” and in her spare time she enjoys trying new restaurants, picnicking with her boyfriend, running and being outdoors. She also has two rescued Maltese dogs named Teddy and Daisy.
