Eye Exams

Morris Eye Group recommends annual eye examsMorris Eye Group has been helping patients achieve their eye care needs for over 20 years.

We strongly recommend annual eye exams for many reasons. A comprehensive eye exam is not only a simple vision check, but rather an extensive look into a person’s eye health.

A series of fairly complex tests are performed to check a patient’s vision as well as the health of the eye including:

• neurological function
• eye pressure
• disease testing
• eye muscle coordination
• checking the overall health of the internal and external functions of the eye

If a patient has a family history of eye disease, then a comprehensive eye exam is highly recommended. If these diseases are detected early, treatment may be recommended to help delay or prevent the disease from progressing.

In a healthy person, with no family history of eye disease, we still recommend annual eye exams. The eye is the only window into the rest of the body. Often, other physical or neurological problems can be detected early through regular eye exams.

In today’s busy world with high-speed technology we rely a lot more on computers, cell phones and other digital equipment to aid us everyday. This has increased our visual demand and may be a cause for increased eyestrain. If you start noticing eyestrain, headaches or other problems while using your technological devices, a baseline eye exam can help find solutions.

At Morris Eye Group we are happy to see patients of all ages ranging from children over the age of 5 to seniors. Rest assured that all your eye care needs can and will be met at Morris Eye Group.
